Alimentos Puerto Varas S.A.
Our company, Alimentos Puerto Varas S.A., is located in the so called "The Lake`s Region", the Chilean milk region, that is 1000 km to the south from Santiago. It is integrated by a group of entrepreneurs, milk producers and investment pleople, who jointed to develop a dairy proyect using their expertise, financial and economic knowledge.
The company started operations on October 2006 with a 6 months`tune-up period of the plant, processing our first milk on April 2007, reaching 120.000 liters per day in December 2007. Now, we expect to rich 350.000 liters per day this year, producing basically whole milk powder, Gouda cheese, butter and yoghurt.
Our milk`s suppliers are free of deseases (brucellosis, tuberculosis, ect) and in the meantime, they are certified by the Chilean Sanitary Authorities (SAG), some of them, "PABCO lechero" (that means extremely high quality).
Our company is specially compromised with the environment therefore, we have implemented an organic plant of control of fluids, based on earthworm`s treatment of them.
